Our client, based in Nassau County has an immediate opening for a Help Desk / Desktop support pro.  This is a 6 month, contract to hire opportunity.  Entry level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

-Help Desk Support
ØProvide first line of response for users requiring technical assistance on PC’s and Network
ØComplete Tickets according to the documented procedure
qDesktop/Laptop Configuration
ØSetup and configure desktops/laptops and desktop applications including Office
qDesktop Support
ØPerform essential technical or operational trouble shooting. Documents, Tracks and Monitors problems to ensure a timely resolution
ØCommunication with Multi-National End Users
-Escalation of High or Emergency priority issues to Management
-Off Hours call support on rotating basis with 10 othersRequirements

-College Degree plus IT related course work
-Windows 7/10 OS required, certification a plus
-Office365 configuration and functionality (i.e. Excel, Word, PP, Access, Skype)
-Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
-Strong ability to learn new technologies via self education and company training
-Works well in a team environment while working independently on assigned tasks.
-Experience with other tools that support Windows.  (i.e. Virus Protection, Network Monitoring, Software Distribution) a plus
-Windows Server and Cisco a plus
-Powershell a plus
