Client is seeking an experienced Product Manager for International Health & Nutrition in our Product Management environment.
Provides strategic and practical input for specific product offerings for product life-cycle. Analyzes sales reports, market performance, financial impacts, trends, and merchandising strategies. Manages new and existing products to meet corporate goals. Serves as champion for our Health & Nutrition product line. Focus will be international, Canada & Mexico. This position will require an individual to be bilingual in Mandarin and English. The role will interact with Product Management, International Country teams, Executive Management, Quality Control, Legal, Purchasing, Accounting, IT, and Creative Services; and supervises a staff of two reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Analyzes sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify product selection
•Collaborates with Marketing to establish effective marketing strategies
•Prepares product analysis and presents such analysis to substantiate product line strategy
•Ensures the ongoing financial success of new and existing products across all sales channels
•Approves final product information, materials, features, benefits, specifications, and pricing for catalogue to ensure accuracy
•Collaborates on overall product image plan and layout for catalogue and web to maximize sales
•Develops, conducts, or coordinates product trainings for internal and external customers to properly instruct on the features and benefits of product
•Forecasts sales for new and existing products to determine strategy
•Facilitates and approves designs of final product to ensure standards
•Defines product selling model
•Establishes pricing and margins to maximize profits
•Approves samples of products to ensure quality standards
•Approves retail displays to effectively demonstrate features and benefits of products
•Participates in vendor selection and performance evaluation to ensure product quality and aesthetics
•Writes white papers and completes code sheets for new products and updates work flow forms to ensure correct pricing and product information
•Complies with company policies and procedures
•Performs other duties as needed
Education and Experience
•Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
•Project Management experience, a plus
•Bilingual Mandarin / English
•Two to three years of experience in product management, project management, brand management, marketing, or merchandising
• Or combination of equivalent experience, education, and training
•Proficient use of MS Office Products
•Above moderate levels of English and Mandarin reading comprehension, speaking, and writing; active listening; critical thinking, complex problem solving, analysis and evaluations, judgment and decision-making, and negotiation, and innovation
