Our client in Buffalo, NY is looking to hire a CTO to oversee / lead all technology efforts.

This is a full-time / direct-hire / on-site position

Based out of Buffalo, NY, their priority is to provide best in
class customer service to our healthcare providers and facilities. By ensuring that they provide the highest
quality services, they can guarantee that the healthcare system is more efficient and safer than when they
started this business.

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

The Chief Technology Officer reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This
position leads the company’s technology efforts and strategic planning. This role will oversee all
technology and technological resources, establish the technology vision, strategies, and growth plans.
This position will also lead system and quality assurance processes to ensure the protection of Utilities’
assets while maintaining and evolving technology needs.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (but not limited to)
– The person in this position will understand the business aspects of technology as well as the
competitive landscape and understand how to leverage market-driven technical innovation to
increase shareholder value
– Developing and implementing a company-wide technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with
the company’s systems, projects, and business needs
– Consult with and hire the appropriate UX and dev resources to make our mobile application a best-
in-class product for healthcare professionals throughout the country.
– Leveraging close relationships with other members of  Executive Leadership
Team
– Oversee the teams responsible for delivering value-add solutions, eliminate roadblocks, support a
sales-first culture, and create value through thought leadership, effective cost management, and
tech-enabled process improvements
– This role is based in Buffalo, NY and reports directly to our CEO
– Quickly learn our systems and platform to understand our market differentiators and gain an
understanding of where our shareholder value lies

– Build and evolve a team commensurate with strategy, resource needs, business growth, and
performance
– Additionally, be equipped with the experience to scale various technical functions, with both on-
and off-shore resources
– Foster a positive culture in which the team is engaged and challenged by what they do and who they
work with and have the necessary resources to be successful in their roles
– Maintain accountability for developing and managing all financial budgets and plans associated with
information technology, software, systems, data, and the resources needed to manage, support,
and evolve these
– Own and manage technology vendor relationships to manage risk and to ensure positive financial
outcomes for the company.
– Remain current on laws, regulations, business trends, and economic trends that impact the business
and take appropriate action

 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:

Required Skills / Expertise:
– Minimum 10 years or more experience in all aspects of technology, software, IT systems,
infrastructure, and data analytics; ten years' leadership experience at the Director level or higher
– Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role
– Ability to deliver by translating requirements into a product blueprint, and implementing critical
features into the product
– Full-stack development expertise that includes working knowledge of database, mobile, back-end,
and front-end technologies
– Ability to supervise software and mobile developers across iOS and Android platforms
– Experience with WordPress, React, React Native, NextJS, AWS
– Knowledge of XML and RSS Feeds
– Agile Development and project management experience (ie. Scrum, Kanban)
– Must be well-versed in current technology trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts to
arrive at solutions, and support planning and decision making
– Experience with developing & designing back-end APIs and integrating with other 3rd Party APIs
– Superior leadership skills – including self-awareness, influencing, effective and impactful
communication, and change management
– Strong, demonstrable experience with contract and vendor negotiations and management including
managed services
– Working knowledge of the evolving industry and competitive news and trends as well as broader
technology, systems, software, and data capabilities and solutions
– Demonstrated experience in attracting, hiring, enabling, and developing stellar talent
– Deep technical background with previous hands-on experience in software engineering within a
high-performing technology organization

 

Salary range: $200,000 – $250,000
