Retail Systems Technician

Our client in East Rutherford, NJ has an opening for a Retail Systems Technician.

This is a permanent / full-time / hybrid position (2-3 days in office/week)

Salary range based on experience: $70,000 – $80,000

This Retail Systems Technician position is for you, if you would enjoy:

• Responsible for support store platforms like Point of Sale (POS), store payments, digital signage, store kiosks and digital applications.
• Physical on-site installation support of all Systems technology
• Assist in phone, email, and SNOW ticket support for application/software issues, network troubleshooting, and installation support of hardware and software
• Testing and troubleshooting of bug fixes, enhancements, and new program launches
• Working a hybrid schedule out of our headquarters in East Rutherford, NJ in conjunction with Field Service on-site delivery along the East Coast and where needed

Retail Systems Technician Key Accountabilities

• Maintain NASC lab equipment with up-to-date technology
• Cross functional collaboration – work with counterparts in IT in regard to necessary systems integrations, infrastructure, and network
• Systems implementation – working closely with operations to assist in on-site implementation of new technologies/new store openings/highly visible IMAC’s
• Production support – act as a 3rd level support to the NOC for all system related issues by using analytical skills to resolve problems and adjust system as needed
• Technical resource to aid in the support of all Duty Paid and Duty-Free system enhancements
• QA support both remotely and on-site at NASC – execute and document functional, regression, integration, and performance test cases; report and track issues found during the QA lifecycle through final resolution
• Assist with invoice coding up to 25% of the time
• Provide after hours and weekend support as needed and on a rotation basis

Retail Systems Technician Required Qualifications

• Possess the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization from a store associate up through C-level management both verbally and written
• Experience with mobile POS including wireless printers and credit processing units as well as stationary registers
• Must be highly organized and able to multi-task

Retail Systems Technician Physical Qualifications

• Physically and frequently work out of NASC up to 3 days a week
• Require long days, overnight support on projects, and after-hour and weekend support including holidays
• Ability to travel to stores/locations up to 50% of the time
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs

Retail Systems Technician Preferred Qualifications

• Retail Store Systems experience including but not limited to QA/deployment/new technology
• Working knowledge of Flooid POS and/or TP.net
• Boots on the ground experience
