Joel Shapiro founded JMS Technical Solutions, Inc. from a home office in 2009. Joel’s background includes growing a NYC-based staffing firm from three people to over eighty, while engineering the turnaround to profitability. With over ten years of recruitment experience, Joel has come to believe in the value of meaningful connections with both applicants and clients – truly valuing the relationship over the transaction. His responsibilities include both business development and recruitment. Joel has one son, three daughters (including twins!) and a Golden Doodle in his busy home.
Jacob is President with JMS Technical Solutions. He has been in the human capital management space for close to five years holding roles in recruiting, account management, and new business development. He has consulted for companies in the non-profit sector, private sector, publicly traded companies, and most recently for the United States Army. What he really enjoys is bridging the gap between great companies and great candidates. His role is to ensure we are delivering with excellence for all of our clients and optimizing all client operations. Aside from work, he loves his golden doodle puppy, his chunky cat, going to the gym, and spending time with friends and family. You can find him exploring new restaurants and having some beers around Buffalo.

Having been a technical recruiter for over ten years, he has built deep and lasting relationships with his clients, as is evidence by the long list of references on his LinkedIn page. Joel’s passion is to help people achieve the most out of their perspective career paths and develop strategies to meet their objectives. In addition to his day job, Joel has a home job as well with four kids, which includes triplets!
